Expand Your Comfort Zone

It has become quite a cliche saying now that people will say to 'get outside of your comfort zone', or to 'get comfortable being uncomfortable'. But this concept truly is the way to experience personal growth, we should all challenge ourselves as often as possible, the end result is that you expand your comfort zone and some of the things you consider as challenges become easier. As a Personal Trainer and group Pilates instructor, I am always telling people to challenge themselves and to step outside of their comfort zone as this is where real change happens.

Humans spend about 90% of their time in their comfort zone and some people very rarely challenge themself, but from today start taking the harder options and challenges in different aspects of your life, whether it be at work for a speaking engagement or doing more reps at the gym, or completing a 5 KM run, although you haven't done much running in the past. Whatever challenges you to be uncomfortable, try and do these things regularly and then monitor how you change as a person and how your outlook on life changes, you will find that you will start viewing challenges as an opportunity for growth and this is a beautiful way to view life.

We would love to hear any stories of people who have been inspired by this to challenge themselves and email them to us and if you are willing we will share your stories on our social media channels. Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
